Micropigmentation, also known as permanent makeup, permanent cosmetics or cosmetic tattooing, is a cosmetic procedure used to improve or replace lost coloring on your skin. Micropigmentation is most often used on your face to enhance eyebrows, eyelashes, eyelids (as eyeliner) and lips. It’s also used to camouflage or improve scars, even-out skin coloring and restore color to areas of skin that have lost its vibrancy.
One has to be aware that permanent makeup is a form of a tattoo. Just like every tattoo requires careful aftercare, so do the permanent makeup procedures. Micropigmentation, in this case, is applied on one's face; most visible and easily accessible part of the body which we tend to expose to pretty much everything. Weather, various foods, contact with pets etc., can be a factor in affecting the vulnerable areas after any cosmetic tattooing.
